Description

Wanuka Premium City Honey is a natural honey from our apiaries in Wanne-Eickel. It is made from the city’s diverse nectar supply: from gardens and balconies to flower strips and green spaces. Each harvest is unique – shaped by the season, the weather and the variety of flowers.

Origin & specialty

Our bees collect exclusively in the region. The honey is cold extracted, gently sieved and not mixed with other honeys. This preserves its original character. In 2020, Wanuka Premium City Honey was awarded gold at the London Honey Quality Award – confirmation of its exceptional quality.

Taste & consistency

The color ranges from golden yellow to amber, depending on the type, and the taste ranges from mild to strong. Typical plant sources are lime trees, raspberries, sunflowers and lavender. With a low water content of around 16%, the honey is particularly aromatic and has a long shelf life.

Processing & packaging

Our honey is not heated or artificially treated. Each batch is a piece of pure craftsmanship and is bottled in the distinctive Wanuka jar.

Note

Honey is a natural product. Crystallization is a quality feature and can be dissolved again by heating in a water bath up to max. 40 °C. Not suitable for children under 1 year of age.
