Description

Our beeswax cloths are the perfect alternative to conventional cling film. They can be used to cover or wrap your leftover food and keep it fresh for longer. The beeswax cloths can be shaped by the heat of your hand so that they can also be pulled over a bowl.

We already use these cloths in everyday life – why you should too!

With our beeswax cloths you can cover food and bread – except fresh fish and raw meat. Your food stays fresh and edible thanks to its breathability. It is your ideal alternative to avoid plastic waste. You can also reuse your cloths: While your plastic or aluminum foil can be used once, you can use your beeswax cloths again and again – for up to a year. This keeps your food fresh in the truest sense of the word “naturally”, regardless of whether you want to keep plates, bowls, jars, opened cans or even fruit fresh.

Our natural raw materials in every cloth

  • Our eco-text cotton cloths come from Germany
  • The beeswax is taken 100% from our own bee colonies.
  • Organic sunflower oil ensures that the cloths remain supple.

Made with love in Wanne-Eickel

Our beeswax scarves are made in the heart of the Ruhr area, more precisely in Wanne-Eickel. Each scarf is therefore unique. As they are created using only natural raw materials, the cloths may vary slightly in appearance. But they all serve the same purpose: they keep your food fresh and are a great alternative to using cling film.

Tips for use & care

Place your cloth on the container and simply press it firmly around the edges. The warmth of your hand will cause the cloth to wrap around the edge of the bowl – similar to aluminum foil. When you want to use your food, simply take your cloth down and rinse it under cold water. If it is very dirty, you may need to use a little washing-up liquid. You should heat your cloths in the oven at around 85° Celsius for a few minutes every three months to refresh them. Your beeswax cloths will then look like new again. It is also important to know that although the cloths have a subtle smell of beeswax, they do not pass this smell on to your food. They do not absorb any odors themselves.
